Of all the book sections, this one proved to yield the largest number of pleasant surprises. Having been in education all of my life, I admit to not being totally aware of many of the significant dates that shaped the educational history of our country. Several of the serendipitous discoveries were precursors of future important milestones and educational watershed events.
